Burning Dahlias (placeholder name) is based on an old love that the Devil has forgotten. Originally Han-gyeol 한결 was simply a child blessed with high spiritual connection to nature. Her mother fled home to find a safe place for her daughter. As they traveled for years, Han-gyeol’s mother was found by the newly coronated king of a tiny, new kingdom. That’s how Han-gyeol became Princess Tamara.

Originally her Princess name was Dahlia, but then I stumbled upon art inspired by Mikhail Lermontov’s poem “The Demon.” Considering the theme and subject is very similar to the Devil and Han-gyeol’s story, I found poetic irony in that.

As you can see toward the last batch, things didn’t end well. Devil basically asked His brother Michael to make Him forget the heartbreak.
